Operation Varenna Day of Action - Tackling Drug Dealing in Victoria & Pimlico

 On Wednesday 25th February, your local ward policing team deployed on a day of action around Victoria & Pimlico, focussed on tackling drug dealing and drug related anti-social behaviour. We were joined by colleagues from our Police & Council Tasking Team (PACTT), who are tasked to the Victoria area at present, as well as officers from our Proactive Disruption teams. Officers were deployed around our known hotspots in both high visibility uniformed and plain clothes patrols. We targeted key areas including the Cathedral Piazza, Greencoat Place, Vauxhall Bridge Road as well as residential areas such as Coburg Close, the Peabody Estate and Hugh Street.

We hope this action demonstrates our commitment to tackling criminality and anti-social behaviour across the wards, with a relentless focus on targeting drug dealing, as we know the significant harm that this has upon communities. We will continue to run targeted operations like this across the area to make Victoria & Pimlico a safer place to live.
